Incubus at The Joint – The Residency That Was Made for the Hard Rock

Spread the love

Las Vegas has become home to the music residency, and why not? You have glorious venues, hotels galore and most of the time it is simply an elevator ride down and you are walking into the concert of your dreams. Let’s be honest, most of these residencies are targeted to a more low-key audience and while tickets always sell, that left a big hole in the alternative rock fan base who loves Las Vegas. Now you can say thank you to The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Incubus. This is the residency you have always been waiting for and neither the venue or the band disappoints.

You have to start with Incubus lead singer Brandon Boyd. He gives you the quintessential alternative-rock band front man performance from the looks to the stage presence, but he goes much further than that. Any fan of Incubus knows that Brandon has a voice that is nearly flawless and carries every note of every type of song with such smoothness you can’t tell the difference between the live version and what you find on a recorded track.

Incubus treated their fans that span twenty plus years with all of their favorites including; “Drive,” “Wish You Were Here,” “Pardon Me” and “Anna Molly,” but they also brought out some INXS and then closed the show with the Prince classic “Let’s Go Crazy.” While it is hard not to focus on the lyrics from Brandon, Incubus as a whole really puts on an amazing show from the opening note until the final encore.

If you have not been to The Joint to see a concert, this is true must visit venue while you are in Las Vegas. A very intimate setting that allows you the opportunity to see a great show for an amazing value but it has fabulous acoustics and there is plenty of great views from the side of the stage up to the balcony. Wherever you are for this event you will remember the experience.

“We are very happy to announce our new Las Vegas dates at The Joint! We postponed the original dates in October in light of the tragic events in Las Vegas, both out of a desire to honor those affected and as a precautionary measure.” said lead singer Brandon Boyd. “We understand that changing the dates of a scheduled event was a pretty huge inconvenience for many of you and for that we do apologize, but if you’ll have us back we’ll happily make it up to you by playing louder and dancing harder than ever before. Multiple shows at The Joint is offering us a unique opportunity to dig deeper into our catalogue than we usually get to, so please, for goodness’ sake, don’t be afraid to come to more than one show! (Wink, wink). We are thrilled to come back to Vegas and we hope to see everyone there at The Joint!”

Incubus will donate $1 from each ticket sale and split the proceeds between the Las Vegas Victims’ Fund, organized to provide relief and financial support to the victims and families of the 1 October tragedy; and to The Campaign to Change Direction, a collection of concerned citizens, nonprofit leaders, and leaders from the private sector who have come together to change the culture in America about mental health, mental illness and wellness.

Brandon clearly wanted to show that he is more than just a singer as The Joint has a large-scale display of fine art prints which will be available for fans to view in front of The Joint doors at Hard Rock Hotel and will remain there through 2018.

Incubus has two more dates, March 30th and 31st at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino with tickets starting at $50.50 For more information, visit: The Joint
